Film made as part of the Magic Carpets residency project
An artistic documentary about five TEENS daring to find and fulfill themselves through dance, unfolding within the CHAOTIC rhythm of the Avota Street community.
This dance-documentary short film project focused on social engagement and the integration of community practices into contemporary art processes. Created in collaboration with five young dance enthusiasts, the film explores their journeys of self-expression and self-recognition through contemporary dance, noticing the shift of group dynamics and as the dance enters their lives.
The work is the result of Laura's artist residency in the international project Magic Carpets, developed at the youth community centre Resilience Avoti in Riga, Latvia.
