Review
The contemporary dance performance "Polar Opposites" portrays a clash of differing opinions. As in life, a conflict situation is formed and develops due to the polar opposite views of the involved parties. How far is each character prepared to go forward and not back down from their point of view, no matter what it takes. Are they ready to even distort the facts and hide the nuances behind an ironed shirt and a light smile on your face?
The creators observe this more and more in the media space - the visible depiction does not correspond to the full, nuanced reality. This leads to manipulative interpretations of facts and conspiracy theories. The artists invite the audience to experience a conflict of three ideas in the arena of a debate show, where the image created is more prominent than the content of the information. The chaos created by this physical interplay creates an environment where only the loudest voice is heard. Manipulation and misrepresentation are both permitted weapons to gain the upper hand in this confrontation. The three ideological figures, through cunning and force, try to prove their supremacy. Performers throw themselves into a battlefield where opinions and bodies collide.
